DETAILED REVIEWS

I am writing to explain that I encountered your website as a result of my research into two coins I recently purchased that were made from silver salvaged from HMS Tilawa. I have a particular interest in shipwreck coins and artefacts as I have been a lifelong diver and collecting goes beyond acquisition but is rather a connection to the past and as a way of perpetuating history that otherwise may be forgotten. The history is always more interesting than the artefacts. I probably would not have heard about the SS Tilawa had these coins not been minted. I am writing to thank you for the sheer effort and skill that you have put into your website and the information it contains that will no doubt raise public awareness and perpetuate the memory of your ancestor and others who sadly perished in this tragedy. Thank you! There are so many such stories and sharing them perpetuates the memories. I can truly empathise with you regarding the evocative thoughts you must have felt when you held an ingot that had been carried in the holds below where your great-grandfather must have walked on the decks above it. I also wanted to make you aware that I contribute to various coin forums and featured my Tilawa coins with a reference to your website. Here is a link for your interest. See ; The Shipwreck Corner | Page 2 | Coin Talk. From experience I know that the readers of such articles often have their interest piqued in the subject matter and I hope that some others buy coins and visit your website as a result of my minor publicity. Once again, thank you for your work which is appreciated.

With warm regards

David Scheeres Pembroke , Wales.
